Gold Toe Casual Socks July 7, 2008 This is the second time that I have bought these socks from Amazon.com. Unlike cheaper department store brand socks I have purchased in the past, these stand up much better, as far as wearing out, and the elastic stretching. Well worth the extra money to me!
Thick, but not too thick April 13, 2008 I have been wearing these socks since I first discovered them in MayCo, you remember them don't you? They are like the three bears fable; Not to thick, not to thin, just right! I don't take any special care in washing them, and they will last at least three to four seasons. I have never run into a material wad problem in the toe with these socks, but have with others.
Toughest socks I've ever owned August 23, 2007 The best way to describe everything that's good with these socks is to tell what's gone wrong with them.
First off, they wear out at the heels. I never had this problem with other socks because they always wore out at the toes and got tossed in the garbage long before the heels had a chance to wear out.
Second, they seem to stiffen and lose their cottony softness after a couple trips through the washer and dryer. Other socks either never had that softness to begin with, or they were so flimsy that I wanted them to lose their softness.
I don't remember where I last bought them (It's been a very long time) but now I can't find them in any department stores. I'm glad Amazon has them. It's now time to replace the entire contents of the sock drawer.
Fluffies don't hold up March 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Based on the prior reviews, I fully expected to like these. Unfortunately, I don't, and won't buy more. They don't stay up. I don't have particularly large or small calves, and don't have that issue with my other athletic socks. Oh, well, buy and learn.
I bought both white and black and they are equally disappointing.
Very Uncomfortable March 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These socks have an excess of thread bundled at the corners of the toe seams. If this sort of design bothers you (as it does me), then these are not the socks for you. These socks cause a lot of discomfort for me.
