Product Description Softness meets support. It's a body hug with just the right amount of hold. The SuperSoft ring-spun Cotton is pre-shrunk you'll notice the better fit. A plush waistband and full-cut design add to the everyday comfort of this brief.

Okay September 30, 2008 I purchased these for my son who is away at school. These are well made, they just weren't what my son had in mind. Oh well, guess I learned a lesson about boxer/briefs. If you like briefs, then I would recommend this product for you.
A brief mention August 9, 2008 To ensure there's another positive comment on behalf of the surprisingly maligned Hanes brand, I find their brief not only comparatively inexpensive but comfortable if firm fitting. I've tried other budget brands, viz. Fruit of the Loom and, more often than not, tossed them after several washes. The band loosens around the waist and thighs, the shorts become loose and baggy, the wearer's self-esteem is none the better for the insult. Hanes briefs, on the other hand, actually hold their form long enough to wear out--they develop holes even!--but I've never had to dispose of a pair before its time.
If I'm in a more generous mood, I support the local industry, which is Jockey. Theirs is admittedly a superior brief but usually commanding a premium price.
Absurdly undersized underpants. June 18, 2008 These Hanes briefs were so undersized as to be unusable.
I normally wear either a size 36 or 38, depending on the brand, so I ordered these Hanes in the larger 38 to be safe. While the Hanes briefs I received were labeled as 38s, when measured with a ruler in the same way as my existing 36s and 38s, they approximated only a size 32!! Ouch!
Not even CLOSE Hanes.
In defense of the Amazon vendor, Bealls Florida, I returned the opened package of briefs and received a full refund. Thanks.
Great pair of underwear April 17, 2008 A few years ago I switched back to briefs after years of wearing boxers--I could no longer stand the fly gaping open. I have worn Fruit of the Loom until I happened to see these Hanes Classics at the store. I was not dissappointed. They fit perfectly and stay comfortable all day. The waistband--contrary to some other reviews--fits me fine and I have no problem with it. I would HIGHLY recomend these to everyone.
Budget briefs. January 25, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
After reading the other reviews, I couldn't help wondering whether the reviewers were either being too particular, or were avoiding their own weight issues. I've worn Hanes briefs, along with other brands, for many years. Could there really be much difference between the "new" Hanes briefs and the "old" ones?
The answer: Yes. I bought a 3-pack (34's), and lo and behold, unlike any other briefs I've ever owned, the grey waistband is made so that it only stretches so far. As another reviewer said, it was like there's a tied drawstring inside. To be sure, I had little trouble fitting into my size--anyone who says "I struggled and struggled and I'm positive I've got a 32 waist but these 32's wouldn't go on" needs to get a grip, stop the denial, and shed a few pounds or buy some 34's. BUT, these briefs ARE slightly smaller than all the other 34's I own, and I've got a drawer full, from three other manufacturers. And the fabric is thinner than previous Hanes, and most other briefs. So the bottom line is they aren't unwearable, just chintzy. Hanes has obviously decided to cut costs at the consumer's expense. Too bad, but that's what you get for the price.
