Product Description The Slim Cognito shaping mid-thigh bodysuit by Spanx is designed to comfortably shape the body and has detachable straps that can attach to a bra. The reduced tension at the seams stops bulging and discomfort and a cotton gusset opening is built in.

Disappointed January 3, 2009 I had been wanting SPANX for so long. Today, I finally got my order. What a disappointment! The waist is not meant for the average-height woman (I'm 5' 4'-1/2"). Because it is too long, it has a definite crease in the back and rolls down. The straps that attach the shaper to a bra don't keep the shaper up; they draw the bra down! I cannot recommend this product and wish I could rate this under 1 star.
Very smooth August 7, 2008 I brought this product after reading various reviews of other similar products that were uncomfortable and hard to put on. I took a leap of faith and purchased it.
True to its word, SPANX is very comfortable and works miracles in the smoothing department. The product does not have full control. Perhaps I should have purchased a smaller size. But I looked so much better in my clothes wearing it. Its hard not to wear it daily. The only problem I have is using the restroom. The opening does not extend far enough back. The other issue is if I pull it down to use the restroom then I have problems reconnecting the back and side loops.
It's...fine. July 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is pretty inconvenient. Getting the little straps hooked to your bra is extremely annoying and even when they're hooked it's not that great and FORGET a quick trip to use the bathroom. (I don't use the little "gusset" at the crotch. It would requiring going sans panties and I'd be afraid of accidentally getting pee on it.) And if you choose not to use the complicated annoying little hooks, the back is constantly rolling down creating squeezed back fat that probably looks less flattering than not wearing the bodysuit at all. On the positive side, the material is very sleek and smooth under clothes, and smooths the tummy and thighs pretty well. But once again, the benefits are almost canceled out by the fact that the back rolls down all the time. For almost $[...], I don't understand why they cant create a more convenient way to keep the bodysuit up in the back.
in pain from spanx July 17, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered spanx underwear after seeing an infomercial on tv. I wore them for the first time Sat. night. I followed the online directions for the size I would need. My first thought was that these were too small. I pulled and tugged and stuffed myself in though. I must say my dress looked better. However, I could hardly breathe. I thought I'd get used to it. However, in the car on the way to the restaurant, I made my husband turn around and go home so I could get them off. Sitting, I think, pushed everything up into my ribcage. I actually got them off in the car and immediately felt the blood returning to circulation. I could literally feel it. Anyway, woke up the next day with a soreness under my ribcage. At first I didn't know why. I went to the doc on Monday for a checkup and mentioned the sore rib. He said I bruised that area and should use ice and nuprin. NEVER again. I wear control top pantyhose and have never had an experience as bad as this.....
Hated it! June 14, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased Spanx in Feb. The large was huge on me so I called to do an exchange. They said they would send a Med and credit me for the return when they received it. When I didn't get a credit I called several times and was told they may not have processed it yet, try back. Later I was told that they had changed their customer service company and couldn't look up my order anymore, that they would have to put in a request and someone would call me back within 24-72 hrs. I called three times and no one ever called me back. The kicker is that my credit card company can't file a dispute now because they put me off for more than 60 days. Now I am out the $72 for the return AND out $72 for the medium because even in the correct size I think this product is WORTHLESS!!! Even with the bra loops is falls down and it does not suck me in as well as my other shapers. Yes, it is more comfortable, but who cares if it doesn't get the job done!!!!!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT AND BE WARRNED IF YOU DO THAT THEY HAVE HORIABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not to mention the fact that Target carries a line called Assets by Sara Blakely that is exactly the same stuff for half the price!
