poor quality December 27, 2008 I bought this since the price was tempting, in a lilac shade. The item is extremely thin and poor looking and perhaps the color makes it look worse. I can imagine that the poor look would not be that obvious in a darker shade such as black. I haven't even tried it since it looks so un-classy and am going to return it.
Red Moon Sweater December 26, 2008 This is a comfortable sweater but is extremely thin almost see through. I even order the black one. The sleeves are long and didn't seem to shrink much. This helps us long armed women. I appreciate all the reviews I read before purchasing this product. I new exactly what I was getting when I ordered this. So always remember to read the reviews before buying.
not a sweater November 7, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
First off, this isn't a sweater. It's barely even a light weight top. The fabric is actually thin enough that if I hold it up, I can see right through it, even though it's very tightly knit (and so shouldn't be transparent).
It is, however, extremely soft (and I say this as someone who finds even some cashmere too scratchy), and the color is quite nice (I ordered it in blue), so I'd be quite happy with it as a summer garment if only it fit. If it were simply the wrong size, I wouldn't hold it against them. However, not only is the small about three sizes to big for me (it fits about the same as most of my mom's clothes, and she generally wears 2-3 sizes bigger than I do), but if it weren't otherwise too big, the sleeves and body would be significantly too short. Since the shoulder seam falls about 3 inches down my arm, the sleeves are the perfect length. However, if I pull the shoulder seam up where it belongs, the end of the cuff is over an inch above my wrist, even with my arm straight, and given that it has a 2.5 inch cuff, it should come down at least at inch or two past my wrist. Similarly, if I lift up the top so that the bottoms of the sleeves are somewhere in the general vicinity of my arms (where I assume they're intended to be), the bottom of the garment falls barely below my natural waist -- a bit too low to be a crop-top, but far to high to wear as a normal sweater.
If you're under 5 feet tall, slightly overweight, and live in a desert, I'd highly recommend this sweater. Otherwise, save your money.
Fine woven, soft cotton pullover V-neck. October 25, 2008 This item is a very soft, light and finely woven, cotton knit pullover. It is very comfortable. The fit is just right for the size chart given, (not too tight or loose). The fabric is thin, actually to me it's not a "sweater" thickness, as it is barely thicker than T-shirt fabric, but that's what makes it feel so light and comfy. The sweater is 100% cotton , so it would not be a winter sweater, just probably be good for a under a jacket on a spring or fall day. The cuffs are a nice width, at 2.5 inches and are not too tight or too loose. One star came off becuase the body is not quite as long as it looks in the photo: I am 5'2 and the bottom edge falls only about 2 inches below my natural waist. The washing instructions are to wash in cold so I imagine that it will also shrink a bit in length if I'm not careful, but I havent washed it yet. I also bought it in red, and overall I really like them both.
