Teva Flip Flop October 8, 2008 We were very happy with the flip flops. My daughter loves them and we were happy with the servce we recieved.
MOST COMFORTABLE September 23, 2008 my first pair's bottom wore off because i wore it every day, so i had to track down and buy another pair (so glad amazon has them!). once you wear this shoe, you cannot wear any other flip flop!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously, this is the most comfortable shoes yet to be found. highly recommend it to everyone.
Great sandal for the price September 16, 2008 I got these for my wife. She like Tevas and likes the Olowahu style the best. Her heel doesn't slide to the left or right. They also have a bit of an arch. The only thing, they're made of a cushy material that eventually loses support. Not a complain, just the way they are. Course, they are sandals and usually cost less than $20 a pair. Also, The Olowahu comes in lots of colors. So, you can buy many pair. :-)
a bit dissapointed August 26, 2008 I thought these sandals were so cute, and Teva is a good brand so I decided to try them out. They also looked like they would be good for chasing kids in. Well they are really cute, but they aren't as comfortable as I thought they would be. I have normal size normal width feet, and these are a bit squishy. My sister has thin feet and they fit her perfectly. They squish my little toe and the straps rub funny against my big toe. I've had to build up new callouses, but they still aren't as comfortable as regular flip flops. Maybe after I've owned them for a year I'll like them more. On the positive side, they do stay on really well and I don't have to grip them with my toes, which is great for running after kids or walking fast. If you want a pair of these, I would suggest going and trying them on somewhere first.
All purpose sandals July 30, 2008 I purchased these sandals on the recommendation of a friend of mine who had used them while backpacking in Europe two years ago. I thought the flip flop design was both cute and functional (holding in your foot more than the traditional two strap design), and appreciated the waterproof nature of these sandals. I am a longtime Reef flipflop user and really appreciate the type of arch support that these sandals give -- I wouldn't have purchased the Tevas w/o the arch support!
They were a bit tight for my feet initially (I am a 6.5-7), but stretched out as I wore them, becoming quite comfortable.
Overall I really liked these sandals. I wore them during a month long backpacking tour of Europe. I will say that they seemed to compact faster than the Reefs I owned previously, but still cradled my feet well. I threw them away at the end of the trip when I forgot to air them out and packed them, soaking wet from a hostel bathroom, into a ziplock bag. Four days later I found them, smelling terrible and still wet. I was heading home the next day and trying to reduce my load as much as possible, so although they could've probably been salvaged (a good wash, perhaps some disinfectant and a baking in the sun), I decided to toss them.
Between these and the Reefs (Ginger) I normally wear, I'd have to say it's a tie... The Reefs may be a hair ahead because they don't seem to wear out as fast. I definitely wouldn't mind wearing them again, and they definitely did keep my feet happy through all the walking around, swimming, etc.
