Amazon.com Product Description Whether you want to reduce back stress or fatigue or stimulate your blood circulation, the Ironman Gravity 1000 inversion table makes a great household accessory. The inversion table contributes to your body's overall health by optimizing lumbar traction, thereby relieving pressure on your vertebrae discs and ligaments. And when your back starts to relax, the rest of your body follows. The table can also help with such areas as increasing body flexibility for improved athletic performance, reducing the effects of aging due to gravity, and relieving lower backaches due to sitting or standing. The Gravity 1000 boasts a durable tubular steel frame with a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish. The backrest, meanwhile, is made of a tough nylon material that's extremely durable yet still comfortable when the table is in use. Most importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the nylon backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts up to 90 degrees. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself. Users will also appreciate the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 300 pounds; vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers; and a durable spring-loaded ankle locking system. The Gravity 1000, which folds into a compact footprint for easy storage, measures 25 by 62 by 49 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 46 pounds. Awesome product November 15, 2008 I bought this product based on the recommendation of the reviews posted on Amazon. My product arrived today. I am very pleased. Although this is the less expensive unit it is all that I want and more. I do not see why I would want to spend more money when this product is more than adequate.
The materials and quality are top-notch. I found assembly to be a snap and I'm not usually a mechanical type person.
I was recently diagnosed with multiple bugling discs and S1 nerve compression. I am currently in physical therapy without much relief. I have not yet experienced the benefits of this device as I just received it today. My back is so tight that I did not experience much movement while hanging upside down for 5 minutes.
I plan on using it daily 2-3 times per day. I will post in the near future any progress I have.
I did not experience the foot discomfort as some have mentioned. I wore shoes and my feet stayed comfortably secure. Good buy!!
Functional... November 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fairly simple assembly and I was upside-down in a hurry... No complaints except it takes up a lot of room in my basement.. But the price was right and it holds my big fat 200+ pound self up quite nicely. I'm not really getting much relief from my pain issues but I think I'm just too far gone at this point with herniated discs in both neck and back for at least ten years. But it certainly isn't making things any worse and I can do crunches and sit-ups (kinda) from the inverted position without pain. So that's a good thing..

Iron Man 1000 Inversion table works well, Easy to get in and out of and looks good in any living room. I recommend it and would buy another. My back has a bulging disk. I hope it may save me from surgery. Just remember to hang on it for a least 3 minutes each time you use it.
satisfied October 28, 2008 I've had my Ironman inversion table for a few weeks now and I must say that I really enjoy using it for a couple of minutes just about every day. It was easy to assemble, is built very sturdy and looks great. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in an affordable but well-built product.

Great product for the money. I've never owned one, but purchased this one to possibly relieve back pain. I had no problem putting it together and it is very sturdy. The only reason this didn't get a 5 star, is the comfort on the feet. A little more padding and support around the feet would help. But, I'm not upside down for very long, so it isn't a huge deal. I would recommend this to anyone!
